EASMC/MSEA invited all local and state candidates to complete a questionnaire and participate in our endorsement process. The complete process consists of a submitted questionnaire and participation in an in-person interview that is recorded to share with members, retirees, and the community at large to inform them on candidate positions as they relate to public education. We sincerely appreciate all the candidates who took their time to talk to educators and participate in the process. EASMC/MSEA strongly believe that the best governmental decisions are made when employees who work in the profession can provide context, perspective, and their own experiences. We also believe that public education is a non-partisan issue that all our elected officials should care about and value to build an educated citizenry and a strong local economy.
